Maxfeld.legal Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH emerges from bnt attorneys in CEE, a law firm specialised in international business law that was founded in Nuremberg in 2003 as a spin-off from Rödl & Partner.

From the outset, internationality was its defining hallmark. Alongside the Nuremberg office, numerous locations were established across Central and Eastern Europe – from the Baltic states through Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary to Romania and Bulgaria. Today operating under the name LYNX, this firm comprises more than 200 lawyers and represents one of the most successful law firm developments in the region.

These roots give us a distinctive strength: the ability to understand and shape commercial relationships across borders. Initially, we advised Western European companies on their expansion into Eastern Europe – ranging from automotive suppliers and construction and infrastructure projects to real estate investors. This soon led to the development of a second client base: companies from Central and Eastern Europe seeking to expand into Germany and Western Europe.

Today, our horizon has broadened further. We are increasingly entrusted with international mandates with global reach – a testament to the trust we have earned through decades of experience in complex, cross-border projects.

With Maxfeld.legal, we are operating as an independent law firm in Nuremberg since 23 February 2026. Our team of four partners and additional ambitious lawyers brings together more than 25 years of experience in international business law. We position ourselves as a boutique that combines legal excellence, entrepreneurial thinking and personal, partner-led advice.
