Situations in which we typically advise

Legal advice starts with your company's situation. That is how a commercial concern becomes our legal approach.

Who we work with

We advise not only internationally active companies but also support commercial ventures in Nuremberg and the metropolitan region.

Step 1 of 4

01

Mid-sized and family businesses

Support for companies in industry, trade and manufacturing on day-to-day legal questions and strategic projects, with a dedicated contact partner.
02

Start-ups and growth companies

Support with incorporation, shareholding structures, financing and with building and developing the team.
03

Real estate and project development

Advice for owners, investors and developers on acquisition, development, use and disposal across the metropolitan region.
04

International groups of companies

Handling German legal matters for groups with operations in Germany and coordinating cross-border issues.
Why Maxfeld

International experience. Boutique structure. Entrepreneurial thinking.

Technical depth, direct collaboration and international reach for demanding corporate mandates.

One contact partner
The partner from your first meeting remains your contact and steers the mandate personally.
Short routes
We decide directly within the team. Questions and coordination are settled without unnecessary hierarchies or lengthy approval loops.
International in outlook
Our advice reaches beyond Nuremberg and Germany. We coordinate cross-border mandates with partner firms abroad.
Terms agreed in advance
We agree hourly rates or fixed fees before the mandate begins. Where additional work becomes apparent, we agree it with you in advance.
Solution

External support for companies without their own legal department

Not every company needs a legal department of its own. Where legal questions arise regularly, we take on the ongoing legal function – as a dedicated contact partner, embedded in your processes and at predictable cost.

  • Dedicated contact partners and agreed response times
  • Predictable legal costs instead of changing individual mandates
  • Contracts, compliance and ongoing legal questions in one place

Discuss your matter in person

In person in Nuremberg or by video call. We clarify the legal framework, the next steps and the costs in advance.

Looking out over Nuremberg and beyond

Bahnsteig der Nürnberger U-Bahn-Station Maxfeld mit beleuchtetem Stationsschild

Our work is international, our home is Nuremberg. From Leipziger Platz, right by Nordostbahnhof, we advise companies from the metropolitan region, from across Germany and from abroad. From our office in the tower of the MerianForum we look out over Maxfeld, the district that gives us our name. The name Maxfeld.legal is still young, but our history in Nuremberg goes back many years and is closely bound up with international commercial law advice.

Frequently asked questions about our Nuremberg office

Our office is in the MerianForum at Leipziger Platz 21, 90491 Nuremberg, directly by Nordostbahnhof. You can arrange an appointment by telephone on +49 911 569 61-0 or by email to contact@maxfeld.legal. Initial meetings are possible in person at our office or by video.

We settle the fee arrangement before the mandate begins. We bill on an hourly basis, and at a fixed fee for clearly defined tasks such as a contract review or a due diligence. In the initial meeting we give you an assessment of the workload to expect. Scope and terms are recorded in writing before the mandate starts. In court proceedings the statutory fees under the RVG apply as a minimum.

No. In employment law we advise and represent employers. That includes employment contracts, dismissals and termination agreements, restructuring, working with the works council and representation before the labour courts. We do not take on employee mandates.

Our focus has grown historically in international commercial law. The main areas are corporate law and transaction work (M&A), litigation and dispute resolution, employment law for employers, and procurement, supply and distribution law.

We represent clients in civil and commercial matters before the Nuremberg-Fürth Regional Court and its Chambers for Commercial Matters, and before the Nuremberg Higher Regional Court. We represent employers before the Nuremberg Labour Court and the Nuremberg Regional Labour Court. In register and probate matters we handle proceedings before the Nuremberg Local Court.

Beyond that we also represent clients before the competent courts throughout Germany.

Yes. Our office is in Nuremberg, but our mandates reach well beyond it. We advise companies from the metropolitan region as well as clients from across Germany and abroad. We support German companies on international ventures and foreign companies with their business in Germany. Much of the coordination can be handled by video. Where a mandate calls for our presence, we are there in person.

We conduct mandates in German and English, and entirely in English on request. Our team also speaks Romanian, Bulgarian and Russian, among other languages. On international mandates we bring in partner firms from the country concerned where needed.
